Byron Style Accommodation
Project
Website upgrade for Byron Style accommodation directory website for the Byron Bay region.
Problem
Byron Style required a facelift and style upgrade, it was hard to maintain as all style entries where entered via HTML styling. This meant that the old site did not utilise CSS complicating site maintenance. Aswell the site had very basic information displayed that required to be re-ordered to suite new business requirements.
Solution
The site was upgraded to ensure more detailed information was presented to the user as well as a location map. At the time of the upgrade 2006 Google had released the Google Maps API and a Google Maps mash-up was developed for the Byron Style site. The Google Maps mash-up is no longer in use of the Byron Style site however the main site redevelopment and design is still in place.
Architecture
The website was built utilising XHTML/CSS static pages and Google maps location display. (Google Maps Location has been replaced on current website)
