Beauty, the Geek and "that" request

I recently received a request through Geek Girls asking if I wanted to take part in a Geek Girl event on TV. Little known to be it was for the Beauty and the Geek show in Australia (http://au.tv.yahoo.com/beauty-and-the-geek-australia/), a show which I feels increases the negative stereotype of both male and female geeks. Modem, where are we headed?

Today at work I entered the room to hear a faint but never the less MODEM BEEP.

Some sounds remind you of your youth which then sought me to search for the picture below. Which then lend me to thinking about a great talk I found as a student that lead to great inspiration. Read more »
