Microsoft BizSpark Camp

I attended the Biz Start-up Camp April 2010. This was my birthday weekend but it is not unlike me to do something geeky.

This was a great experience to be able to play with and see Azure SQL and PHP. My friend Erle attended with me and we presented our concept at the end of the camp. Having access to the technical support team was great. We created some basic connectors in PHP for Azure SQL. I was able to finally get to the bottom of the issue I was having with local Azure storage replication for testing and development. Read more »

Digi Girlz day - Microsoft Australia

So the Digi Girlz day was held at Microsoft Australia with great success. The day started with a keynote from Sarah Vaughun about what her experience was like in high school university and that first job and how she ended up in a top role in IT. Windows Phone Series 7 is finally here I was lucky enough to attend the Sydney Windows User Group in March 2010 to watch a presentation by Nicholas Rand on Windows Phone 7 series. As soon as I heard him say Zune and XNA my ears got excited. Development for Windows Phone 7 will be done in XNA and Silverlight. Read more »
